Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team at Neverman Insurance Agency, an independent insurance agency known for personalized service and exceptional client care. As a pivotal member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer experiences, addressing inquiries, and providing solutions that meet the insurance needs of our clients.  The position is based out of our office in Westlake, OH.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, answering inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits.
  • Assist clients with policy changes, claims processing, billing inquiries, and coverage questions.
  • Provide accurate information regarding insurance products and services, explaining policy options, terms, and coverage details.
  • Conduct policy reviews to ensure clients have appropriate coverage and identify opportunities for additional products.
  • Present quotes to clients and process new business applications, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations according to agency procedures.
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers to obtain quotes, resolve underwriting issues, and facilitate policy changes.
  • Maintain client records and documentation accurately in agency management systems.
  • Follow up with clients regarding outstanding issues, claims status updates, and renewal notifications.
  • Uphold agency standards for service excellence, professionalism, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with insurance industry trends and changes.
  • Participate in training and study sessions to prepare for the insurance licensing exam if not already licensed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in customer service or insurance-related roles is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office; experience with insurance agency management systems (AMS) is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when necessary.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding client expectations.
  • If not licensed, willing to study and pass the insurance licensing exam within a specified timeframe.
